See Class Project Ideas...

Introduction:-

Project Tools is a fully-integrated modular electronics teaching and learning programme that systematically develops the understanding of electronics and systems through its interractive tutorials, project design tools and hands-on activities.

With little prior knowledge, students learn-by-doing; through designing their own systems and going on to use QuickLink hardware to easily model, test and make real circuits.

The step-by-step software may be used to enhance existing projects and teaching or alternatively to develop new project ideas: where students can work more autonomously and creatively whilst you are fully supported in managing these activities.

Modules:-

Part 1
- "Acorn Tasks"

These focused practical activities first introduce the systems approach to electronics and a broad range of commonly used components.
A4 Project guides may be instantly printed for hands-on-experience with "SmartStart" & "FastTrack"

Part 2 - "Components & Circuits"

Learners then look into the world of electronics further, through: interractive tutorials, hands-on-tasks, circuit simulations, virtual soldering and circuit board designing...

Part 3 - "Systems & Components"

In this module, they go on to use the SmartStart drag and drop design tool to produce their own creative assignment guides. They may now be developing the original Acorn focused tasks or responding to new design briefs where they can create 1000 different systems/ideas for use with the generic Fasttrack PCB. Other resources and exercises in this module include: Open and Closed Loop Systems, The Design Process, Subsystem/Component Technical Reference Section...

(Additional Reference Tools: To introduce and reinforce some of the basics of electronics, all modules have direct links to: an interactive component table; guide to using a multimeter; resistor colour code chart; automatic LED protection resistor calculator with circuit values).
